This was the Imperial Palace for about 500 years from year 1331.The part of Palace was burnt by a big fire of 1788. The current building was revived in the 19th century A general exhibition is only spring and autum, only one week. Other seasons need visit permission of the Kunaityo (Imperial Household Agency).
